Marine Exterior Waxing System – Part 2

Wayne’s Wax Multi-Layer Boat Wash and Polymer UV Protective Barrier, Part 2 has been developed exclusively for boat cleaning maintenance after Wayne’s Wax Roll-Tech Marine Exterior Waxing System – Part 1 has been completed. “Multi-Layer” means just that. The wash creates a polymer UV protective barrier over the top of the applied wax and enhances protection while cleaning. The more you wash your boat, the more protection it gets! This innovative solution uses polymer-layering technology that yields amazing results! Not only does the Multi-Layer Marine Wash clean beautifully and provide great UV protection, this covalent bonding formula resists and repels minerals, salts, oil-based residues, pollution and bird droppings that may stain your boat. When used weekly, the wash makes cleaning much easier while extending the life of the applied Wayne’s Wax Roll-Tech Marine Exterior Waxing System – Part 1. (Resistance to irritants may vary depending on where the boat is located such as near an airport, freeway, etc.)

• Over the years, I have seen many companies/owners/crews use ordinary cleaners to maintain the boats’ exterior. Many of these cleaners use a degreasing formula. While the degreasing formula may do a good job of cleaning, ironically, with repeated use, it may actually strip the protective coatings that have been applied. This will not happen with Wayne’s Wax Multi-Layer Boat Wash and Polymer UV Protective Barrier, Part 2. As an added bonus, this Wayne’s Wax Boat Wash, Part 2 is very economical, using just 3 ounces per gallon or 88.72 milliliters per 3.785 liters of water.

Please note: Curing time after using the Wayne’s Wax Multi-Layer Boat Wash and Polymer UV Protective Barrier, Part 2 on your boat is about one hour depending on temperature and humidity. Due to the natural effects of evaporation, your Wayne’s Wax representative will strongly recommend that boat owners should not wash their boats directly in the sun between 11 am and 4 pm. And this caution is especially important for dark colored hulls/boats which should be washed before 11 am or after 4 pm or simply on the shaded side of the boat.

Boat owners are frequently surprised that after the Wayne’s Wax Multi-Layer Boat Wash and Polymer UV Protective Barrier, Part 2 has been applied, the water will “sheet off” instead of “beading.” This is because of the nature of the protective wash/coating. The sheeting will assure
you that the marine wash is functioning properly to protect your boat.

Recommended use for regular washdown is every week or every two weeks (depending on location). Amounts to use are: 3 ounces per every gallon of water or 88.72 milliliters per 3.785 liters of water. We recommend using a soft blue brush for regular washdowns.

Wayne’s Wax Multi-Layer Boat Wash and Polymer UV Protective Barrier, Part 2 is designed to be used on boats that have had Wayne’s Wax Roll-Tech Marine Exterior Waxing System, Part 1 completed. It is not a general boat wash. If you are looking for a great boat wash for pre-cleaning and a deep penetrating cleaning (DPC) process, we recommend Wayne’s Wax Pro-Gel. It won’t let you down!

Salt Spray Remover

  • If Wayne’s Wax Multi-Layer Boat Wash and Polymer UV Protective Barrier, Part 2 is being used to remove salt spray, it is again recommended to mix a more concentrated 5 oz per gallon of water or 147.868 milliliters per 3.785 liters of water for the removal process. We recommend the use of a yellow boat brush for this process.
    • Important note: Always wet an area with water first before you start removing the salt spray with a yellow brush or sponge.
