Wayne’s Wax™ Multi-Layer Polymer UV Protective Barrier and Boat Wash

Wayne’s Wax Biodegradable Multi-Layer UV protective Marine Wash has been developed exclusively for boat cleaning maintenance after Wayne’s Wax “Roll-Tech” Amino Functional Polymer Wax sealant has been applied. “Multi-Layer” means just that…The wash creates a polymer UV protective barrier over the top of the applied sealant and enhances protection while cleaning. The more you wash your boat, the more protection it gets! This innovative wash uses polymer-layering technology that yields amazing results! Not only does the Multi-Layer Marine Wash clean beautifully and provide great UV protection, this covalent bonding formula resists and repels minerals, salts, oil-based residues, pollution and bird droppings that may stain your boat. When used every one to two weeks, the wash makes cleaning much easier while extending the life of the applied Polymer Roll-Tech Wax. (Resistance to irritants may vary depending on where the boat is located such as near an airport, freeway, etc.)

Over the years, I have seen many companies/owners/crews use ordinary cleaners to maintain the boats’ exterior. Many of these cleaners use a degreasing formula. While the degreasing formula may do a good job of cleaning, ironically, with repeated use, it may actually strip the protective coatings that have been applied. This will not happen with Wayne’s Wax Multi-Layer Marine Wash! As an added bonus, Wayne’s Wax Multi-Layer Marine Wash is very economical, using just 3 ounces per gallon or 88.72 milliliters per 3.785 liters of water.

Please note: Curing time after using the Multi-Layer UV Protective Marine Wash on your boat is about one hour depending on temperature and humidity. Due to the natural effects of evaporation, your Wayne’s Wax representative will recommend that you do not wash your boat directly in the sun between 11 am and 4 pm. (Dark colored hulls/boats should be washed earlier, or later than the recommended time mentioned, or the shaded side out of the sun).

BOAT OWNERS ARE FREQUENTLY SURPRISED THAT AFTER APPLICATION OF THE MULTI-LAYER MARINE WASH HAS BEEN APPLIED, THE WATER WILL “SHEET OFF” INSTEAD OF “BEADING”, THIS IS BECAUSE OF THE NATURE OF THE PROTECTIVE WASH/COATING. THE SHEETING WILL REASSURE YOU THAT THE MARINE WASH IS FUNCTIONING PROPERLY.

Recommended use for regular washdown is every one to two weeks (Depending on location): 3 ounces per every gallon on water / 88.72 milliliters per 3.785 liters of water and we recommend to use the soft “BLUE” brush for regular wash-downs.

THE MULTI-LAYER WASH IS DESIGNED TO BE USED ON BOATS THAT HAVE HAD WAYNE’S WAX “ROLL-TECH” MARINE WAX APPLIED. IT NOT A GENERAL BOAT WASH. IF YOU ARE LOOKING FOR A GREAT BOAT WASH FOR PRE-CLEANING AND OUR “D P C” PROCESS, I RECOMMEND WAYNE’S WAX “PRO-GEL”, IT WON’T LET YOU DOWN.

Other Great Uses

Dried Residue Remover.

If the Multi-Layer Wash is being used to remove the dried residue after the application of Wayne’s Wax Roll-Tech Marine Wax or Liquid Shield Wrap. It is recommended to mix a more concentrated 5 oz per gallon of water or 147.868 milliliters per 3.785 liters of water for the removal process. It is recommended to remove the dried residue with a “YELLOW” boat brush and remove it the same way you normally wash the boat. Once the residue has been removed, go over the area again with the soft blue brush with water only.

  • Important note: Always wet the area with water first before you start removing the dried residue with the yellow brush.

Salt Spray Remover.

If Multi-Layer UV Protective Marine Wash is being used to remove salt spray, it is again recommended to mix a more concentrated 5 oz per gallon of water or 147.868 milliliters per 3.785 liters of water for the removal process. (We recommended the use of a “YELLOW” boat brush for this process).

  • Important note: Always wet the area with water first before you start removing the dried residue with the yellow brush.
